System Maintenance: Monitor, maintain, and upgrade IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and desktops to ensure high performance, reliability, and security.
User Support: Provide first and second-line technical support to internal staff, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
Network Management: Support network configuration, manage firewalls, VPNs, and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Security Management: Implement and manage security protocols, antivirus software, patching, and updates; ensure compliance with data protection policies.
Hardware/Software Management: Install, configure, and manage hardware (computers, printers, phones) and software (operating systems, office suites, specialised applications), including through the use of ‘one touch’ deployment strategies.
Data Backup & Archiving: Manage regular data backups, recovery procedures, and archiving processes to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery capabilities. Monitor and verify backup systems, addressing any failures or inconsistencies promptly.
Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for IT processes, procedures, and inventory of assets.
IT Project Support: Assist with IT projects such as system upgrades, deployments, and migrations.
Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors for IT equipment, software licensing, and technical support agreements.
